EkHeart #12: Ek (Elf Killer) vs. Heart

(follows from #11) But more and more Elf machines keep on popping up, and more and more often in different areas of the world at the same time. The Elves have understood the weak point of the human war strategy. Hermes is super-swift, but one EkHeart is no more enough.
So, the Army decides to clone EkHeart in order to produce another cyborg, at least.

EkHeart refuses: the procedure could damage Lucysky's body, so that it should be removed from his heart and kept somewhere else, maybe a laboratory where it will be dismembered and studied.
No, EkHeart does NOT obey Asimov's pointless Laws of Robotics; his books in the 23rd century are still being read, but just for fun.

General Eye Sen Hover (in the picture), of Chinese mother and Greek father, head of the 8C Interforce, threatens to cut him off the power sources. EkHeart knows, all too well, that it is just a bluff, because the Army cannot do without him, nor can they force his will. They don't insist for now, since they realize that the cyborg needs inner serenity, if he has to fight successfully against those “monsters”.

Though, EkHeart knows, all too well, too, that mankind does need further AI mobile weapons, if they are to cope with the Elves. And, because of the too lengthy technique it would imply, they couldn't start from zero in the building of a new specimen.

The game has only been put off.
